WSET Level 2 Course June 03 - July 22, 2025
WSET Level 2 Award in Wines builds on the foundations of Level One. Students take a deeper dive into the world’s key grape varieties, the regions where they are grown, and the diverse styles of wine they produce. Through a blend of tasting and theory, you'll explore the factors that influence wine style and quality—and gain the tools to describe wines with clarity and confidence. While completing Level 1 or having prior wine experience is helpful, there are no formal prerequisites for Level 2.

Decoding the Language of Wine
Savoring what’s in your glass is one thing—making sense of the tasting notes on labels, in reviews, or wine books is another. Pencil lead? Acidity? Minerality? In this approachable, palate-driven class, our founder and Advanced Sommelier, Kaleigh, will guide you through five thoughtfully selected wines as we unravel the vocabulary of wine—from time-honored descriptors to the trendiest terms. By the end, you’ll walk away with a clearer understanding of how structure and style show up in the glass—and the words to describe what you’re experiencing, both on the palate and in your own voice.

Building on the foundational concepts from Wine 101, this 90-minute class sharpens your tasting skills and explores the science behind flavor, aroma, and structure in both white and red wines.

WSET 3 Award in Wines
WSET Level 3 Award in Wines prepares you for advanced professional or scholarly pursuits by providing a detailed understanding of viticulture, winemaking techniques, and the intricacies of global wine regions. Upon completion, you will be able to assess wines accurately and confidently explain wine style and quality. Completion of Level 2 or comensurate experience/education is STRONGLY recommended.
